Set up Avoma MCP in Claude web & mobile (Admin, OAuth)

Configure Avoma MCP once as an admin via OAuth, then publish it to your entire team. Claude → Organization Settings → Connector

Avoma MCP allows your team to access meeting data and insights directly from Claude's web or mobile app. Admins configure and publish Avoma MCP once, and team members can immediately start using it across all their devices, including mobile.

Before you begin

  • This guide applies to Claude Web and Mobile.
  • You must have the Owner role in your Claude organization.
  • Your workspace must be on a paid Claude plan (Pro or Max) that supports custom connectors.
  • Team members can connect Avoma MCP immediately after you publish.

 

Important: OAuth authentication is designed primarily for web and mobile experiences. Many desktop MCP clients, including AI desktop applications, do not fully support OAuth or require additional manual configuration to make it work.

ChatGPT does not currently support MCP connections through a desktop app. To use Avoma MCP with ChatGPT, connect via OAuth in ChatGPT Web or Mobile instead. See Set Up Avoma MCP in ChatGPT Web & Mobile (Admin, OAuth).

Step 1: Configure Avoma MCP as an admin

  1. Click your name in the Claude interface.
  2. Select Organization Settings (this option appears only for org admins).

  3. Scroll down to the Connector section.
  4. Click the Add button in the top right.

  5. Choose Custom, then Web

  6. Enter Avoma MCP as the name.
  7. Paste this URL: https://mcp.avoma.com/mcp as the remove MCP server URL
  8. Click Add. Avoma MCP now appears in your Connector list.

Step 2: Publish Avoma MCP to your team

Once configured, Avoma MCP is automatically available to all team members. They can access it through their own Claude settings without any additional admin action.

NOTE: Publishing is handled seamlessly across all devices — web and mobile included. No further steps are required from you or your team members.

 

How team members connect

After an admin publishes Avoma MCP, team members can find and connect to it directly from their Claude settings. The connector appears automatically — there is nothing additional the admin needs to do.

Tip: If a team member doesn’t see the connector, ask them to refresh their Claude settings page.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

I don’t see Organization Settings in Claude. What’s wrong?

Organization Settings is only visible to org admins. If you don’t see this option, you likely have a member-level role. Contact your Claude org admin to complete the setup.

A team member says they can’t find Avoma MCP in their Claude settings.

Ask them to refresh their Claude settings page. The connector should appear automatically after you’ve added it. If it still doesn’t appear, confirm the connector was saved correctly by checking the Connector list in Organization Settings.

 

The URL I pasted isn’t being accepted. What should I check?

Make sure you’ve selected Custom → Web before entering the URL. The correct URL is:

https://mcp.avoma.com/mcp

Double-check there are no extra spaces or characters. If the issue persists, contact help@avoma.com.
